Positional Language Model and Image Visualization
Senior Thesis / August 2011 - Present
I am researching on a language model and visualization method for effectively organizing images based on their related topics in documents. I was inspired by photo collages as a means of displaying images in which related photos are adjacent to one another and the size of each image means that its topics are popular. In order to relate topics with images, I am constructing a language model that calculates weights based on the position of each word in terms of sequential proximity, hierarchical relationship of related HTML tags, and its styles. This application will help to visually search topics.
Augmented Reality Live Map
Class Project / August 2011 - December 2011
My friends and I implemented an alternative user interface for 2D map on smartphones. We created an iPhone application for the prototype. It renders points of interests into a user's view into 3D through the smartphone camera with shapes called Proximity Circles which intuitively indicate spatial information of distances and directions.
Phone Tag: Geo-location Tag Game for iPhone and Android
